The Blue Bird Aviation fleet is made up of different aircraft to suit a wide range of missions. At the larger end, we operate the 50 seat capacity regional aircraft – Fokker 50 turboprop and Bombardier CRJ-100LR jet. Additionally, we operate smaller private aircraft such as the Beechcraft King Air 200, the DHC6 Twin Otter and Beech 1900D. Our fleet has a strong reputation for being reliable and efficient with an extensive history of operating in remote and hot regions throughout the country.
Bombardier CRJ-100LR (50 seats)
Cruising at a speed of 780 km/h, the Bombardier CRJ-100LR is among the quietest jets in its class. The aircraft boasts the highest level of air quality in the airline industry. It is equipped to provide 100 percent fresh air with no recycling back into the cabin allowed.
Fokker 50 (50 seats)
The Fokker 50 is a proven quality and versatile turboprop aircraft with an aerodynamic design and excellent performance record. The long range capabilities enable the F50 to operate from a wide variety domestic destinations, including unpaved runways and airfields.
Beechcraft 1900D (19 seats)
Built for passenger comfort and safety, the Beechcraft 1900D is one of the most popular 19 passenger aircraft. Offering a spacious stand-up cabin and high cargo door, this aircraft is ideal for both passenger and cargo charters, or any combination of the two
Beechcraft King Air 200 (8 seats)
This pressurized aircraft is acclaimed as the most popular business aircraft of all time. The eight passenger configuration features a roomy, executive or commuter cabin outfitted with air-conditioning and a leather interior allowing clients to conduct in-flight business in comfort.
DeHavilland DHC-6-300 Twin Otter (19 seats)
The Twin Otter is a high winged, un-pressurized twin-engine turbine powered aircraft with fixed tricycle land gear. The 19 seat aircraft was designed as a rugged commuter and is capable of carrying passengers and cargo into remote unimproved locations, including desert operations.
